Frame Shop Open Late for You

This picture was taken at about 11:30 pm.  We had designed about 25 different pieces at this point for Deb.  Most of which will be a wall grouping of family photos (stay tuned to see those when finished) but this last one was a doozy.   

It is a document from 1874 that was awarded to her great grandmother in Hungary (happens to be where Bela is from) that announced her as an official midwife.  This was very uncommon for a woman to have a career.  We will post the finished piece soon.  I think we only shared one bottle of wine this night.  Good times.

Family Portrait grouping.

  We love these clients.  The Monaco family from NY, have a 2nd home here on Fort Lauderdale Beach.  We went and hung these three hand tinted portraits for them.  They look fantastic.  Don't ya think?

Photo Grouping

We can't take credit for this design.  Our portrait clients came up with it, and proudly emailed me the finished picture. She said we inspired them from one of our designs.  I think it's very clever.  They are all 5x7 images, with double white mats and black wood frames - $45 each (a steal).

It was a beach shoot in which some of the pictures are in natural color, some black and white, and some in sepia.  I think it looks awesome.

Important Repair Project

This was a favorite piece for John and his partner.  But they couldn't ignore the condition it was in, any longer.  So John waited for a sunny day to load it into his sporty convertible and bring it into The Frame Studio. 

We figured out that it is an Asian Silk that was done in the 1950's (ish).  It had never been mounted correctly so the sagging kept getting worse.  It had also never been sealed so the bugs had found thier way in and eaten small pin holes in it.   

After we got the back off of it, it became obvious what color it originally was.  However, over time (60 years) without UV glass, the damage was done.  Luckily for John, it had fadded into colors that he also enjoyed.

Have you seen this exhibit?

Click on this image to really see it.  This exhibit is about 35 feet long and is displayed at the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale.  It show cases the great photography offered by Little's Portraits, The Frame Studios Frames, but also the pro hangers abilities.

Bela and I hung all of these pictures in about 3 hours total.  This time we intentionally scattered them.  The last exhibit on this wall was very symetrical. 

See how you can hang the piece on the wall without committing to the placement, or asking someone to hold it up for you.  It makes it easy to "eye ball it" too.

What is rolled art?

Some of you may have a collection of rolled art.  It comes in all sorts of lengths and is very difficult to store, or display.  Our little frame shop has the power to change your rolled art, into wall art.

Picture Hanging Service

Raise your hand if you've ever had an argument over hanging pictures.  I think Dr. Phil even did a show on the subject. 

We can solve that problem for you.  Actually my father, David Little, solved it a few years ago when he invented an industry tool - The Pro Hanger(pp).  This thing is so cool, most of the time the only other tool you need is a screw gun.  He invented it for our portrait business because we were always hanging pictures for our clients.  As well as exhibits, displays... you get the idea.
