For those of you who haven’t met me yet, my name is Jelty, and I am lucky to work with Bela and the team here at THE FRAME STUDIO. I want to share a framing love story with you.
When I lived up north, I was the framer at a cool art supply store named Allegheny Art Company in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. A very handsome man named Gus was a chef at a cafe around the corner. We had spoken numerous times at the cafe when I would pick up a drink or some lunch. I thought he was so handsome, and extremely charming – Gus would always kiss my hand when he came out of the kitchen to say hello. One day he found out from his co-workers that I worked at Allegheny, and he made a trip in to our shop on my day off to find a reason to come in and see me. The next day, he brought two pictures in from his brother’s wedding to have framed. He had never done framing before. As I helped him pick out mats and frames for his photos, he worked up the courage and asked me out. That was August 25, 2006 – seven years ago today. Gus is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I am lucky for each day I get to spend with him. I have truly found my soul mate. If Gus didn’t come in for custom framing, we may have never gotten married 6 months later.
Custom framing can do amazing things for your art, and for your heart – what can it do for you?
